The Central Community Foundation awarded a $1,500 grant to 4KidzSake.org, a local nonprofit focused on providing children with educational experiences and opportunities.
The organization is partnering with BlueSTEM AgriLearning Center (BALC) to provide a day camp filled with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities for students in the Stillwater area.
“We appreciate Central Rural Electric Cooperative,” said Terry Miller, 4KidzSake.org Co-Founder. “This is an amazing thing for our community.”
The grant will provide hands-on and critical thinking STEM materials for local fifth through eighth-grade children attending the day camp held this summer.
Anticipated to serve roughly 100 students, 4KidzSake.org is working with local teachers to register students for the camp hosted at the Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University.
The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.
