All News

Central Community Foundation elected four officers at their bi-monthly meeting on August 12.

The newly elected officers are Calvin Oyster, president; Donna Dollins, vice president; Judy German, secretary; and Gretchen Harlow, treasurer.

Board members review and approve grant requests from organizations and individuals in Central Rural Electric Cooperative’s seven-county service area. This year, more than $54,146 has been given to 50 recipients to assist with building maintenance, emergency needs and improving the quality of life of residents.

Applications for grants are taken year-round and reviewed at each board meeting. The board of directors serve three-year terms on the foundation’s board and must be members of Central.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central, where members can round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need.
