Agra Public Schools Receives Foundation Grant

Monday | September 13, 2021
All News

This is the first year since 2017 that Agra Public Schools will have an art program, however, the school district does not have a supply list or art account to fund supplies.

The Central Foundation provided Agra schools with a $1,500 grant to purchase supplies for the 9th through 12th-grade classroom.

“Our students at Agra deserve an opportunity to be as successful as any other child,” said James Patrick, Agra art instructor. “They deserve to have quality materials to work with and one of my goals is to see that they get just that.”

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members can round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.
