Central Community Foundation gives additional $12,000 to area food banks

Food banks across the state have been helping record numbers of residents as the recent pandemic has created a spike in unemployment. The Central Community Foundation provided $24,000 in assistance to area food banks this Spring to help with the surge. Recently the foundation provided another $12,000 in funding to the following food banks:

•    Helping Hands Community Foundation, Chandler
•    Orlando First Baptist Church
•    God's Food Bank, Guthrie
•    Luther Community Service Center
•    Langston Community Food Pantry
•    Stroud Food Pantry
•    4 Kids & Community, Perkins
•    Mehan Union Church Food Program
•    Perry Food Pantry, Inc
•    Perry Community Cares
•    Our Daily Bread, Stillwater
•    Hilltop Country Church Food Pantry, Morrison   

The Central Community Foundation is a charitable organization established by Central Rural Electric Cooperative to administer a program called Operation Round Up. The foundation has five fields of interest: healthcare, education, disaster relief, personal need and community purpose.
