Friday | September 16, 2022
All News

Luther High School received a Central Community Foundation Grant to stock the newly formed Caring Closet which is an addition to the food pantry started by teacher Melody Seather last year.

The grant will provide clothing, hygiene items and school supplies for students who need them. Items have already been donated by Seather’s friends and family but will need to be updated throughout the year.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.

Central board member Greg Tytenicz presented Luther High School special services teacher Melody Seather and her leadership class with a grant for the Caring Closet starting at the school this year.
