The Central Community Foundation recently provided a grant to Morrison Elementary School to help fund the building of an outdoor classroom.

Morrison Elementary School serves 321 elementary students in the district. Funds from the Central Community Foundation will help the school purchase the final components needed to finish an outdoor classroom. Seating and an all-weather dry-erase board will be purchased to help complete the space. The school has already secured funding and completed the construction of a concrete slab for the classroom. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation recently provided a grant that allowed the school to build three raised beds for a student garden nearby.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.
