All News

Payne County Home and Community Education (HCE) received a grant that helped with the purchase of a new refrigerator which was used for their primary fundraiser the Fair Kitchen during the annual Payne County fair.

HCE uses funds from the Fair Kitchen fundraiser to provide scholarships and 4-H program support. HCE’s original refrigerator was purchased using Central Community funds in 2016.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.

Central Foundation board member Donna Dollins presents Home and Community Education board members Misty Burk, LeeAnn Barton, Pat McNally and Dee Porter with a grant to help cover the cost of a new refrigerator.
