Perkins Emergency Management Receives Central Community Foundation Grant

Thursday | December 4, 2025
All News

The Central Community Foundation awarded a $2,000 grant to the Perkins Emergency Management program to support the purchase of a 550-gallon potable water trailer, a critical asset that will strengthen emergency response efforts.

The new trailer will provide reliable access to clean drinking water during a variety of situations, including emergency response operations, disaster relief efforts and community outreach events. With a 550-gallon capacity, the trailer will help ensure that first responders and residents have essential resources when they need them most.

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.

Perkins Emergency Management Director, Eric. Loveless accepts a Foundation grant from Central Community Foundation board member, Tracy Avers, and Central Trustee, James Wells.
