StillWonder received a $1,500 grant from the Central Community Foundation to support educational pop-up events for local foster children.
“This grant means everything to StillWonder,” said Sara Brown, StillWonder Executive Director. “We’re trying to put all of our efforts into a physical location, and these funds go straight to our pop-up events. It helps keep these pop-up events free.”
StillWonder is a nonprofit based out of Stillwater that focuses on STEAM educational opportunities for children in the surrounding counties. They feature pop-up events that are focused on hands-on, play-based learning experiences for all ages.
The Central Community Foundation grant will help with staffing and play equipment for pop-up events specifically for local foster children. Each event will serve between 25 and 100 foster children from Payne and surrounding counties.
There are upcoming pop-up events at The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University, open to all children with no registration needed. Learn more about StillWonder and their upcoming events at stillwonder.org.
